This great visit by pastor Yeadon and the team from St.Paul`s Lutheran Church -New Hartford,CI will remain in the midst of many Christians and brothers in Springs of Life Lutheran Church for their witness and love of Christ that was heard, evident in their testimonies for Christ and the powerful message of the proclamation of the Gospel that the Rev.Tim Yeadon delivered to all faithfuls that Sunday.God be glorified.

The next day the team went and shared Christ love with Luther Academy.It was a great occasion for the Luther Academy School Pupils, Teachers and few Parents who had received a treat to visit the Park recently. This was and is a blessing from God from The St Paul Lutheran Church Breathrens led by Pastor Yeadon and other Group members of that Church. We say thank you for your visit at Springs of Life Lutheran Church and the treat to the children in our School the first of its kind as many of the children could not have afforded the fees that were involved due to disparities of the poor livelihood in which they live and nature of poverty. Thank you Pastor for your assistance in all arrangements that made this purposed trip a successes. The wonderful group that visited with you and all other people who were on hand to make your journey here memorable.

We look forward and Pray to our God Almighty that this love will touch more souls at St. Paul's Church community as we are one in Christ Jesus our Lord. God`s love that is in Pulpit Fellowship, to unite with us in prayer to rebuild the Church Sanctuary currently in dire need as it continues with its mission of evangelism to all people in its community.

Springs Luther Academy Computer Lab!

Springs of Life Lutheran Church Kibera continue to receive gifts of love from people of good will especially after the looting and burning of The Church,Clinic and School during the post election violence in 2008.
One of these was the official opening of a newly-donated computer lab by Ken Okoth thru the Children of Kibera Foundation on Wednesday December 2, 2009. The computer lab,which is oneof the CoKF's Kibera Online Schools project, is equipped with nine computers, tables and chairs.The occasion was witnessed by the ELCK Arch-Bishop Dr,Walter Obare and School Board Chair Mrs Alice Mwarabu,Church Leaders and Members.
The ceremony was graced by Elizabeth Penniman, visiting parent and donor from the Potomac School in McLean, VA. Ms. Penniman travels to Africa frequently as the Vice President of Global Advocacy, Public Policy, and Communications for the Elizabeth Glasier AIDS Foundation.
After the reception, guests signed the guest book and Ken said CoKF is very excited to contribute to the rebuilding and refurbishing of the Springs Lutheran Church Community and School (Luther Academy), especially after the church was badly damaged during the post violence in 2008.
The lab will serve not only the children at the primary school, but the church youth group and other members that come from the far reaches of the Kibera slums.
It will also connect the Springs of Life Lutheran Community with the rest of the world.
The Springs of life Lutheran Community would like to give thanks to CoKF and Ken Okoth for being a good example to the Kibera youth.Having been brought up in Kibera Slums Ken has proved that despite odds that one experiences it is still possible to reach out to such communities.

Dedication of the New temporary classes at Luther Academy - Kibera!

Dedication of the New temporary classes build by donations from Bethel Lutheran Church - Alberta Group from Canada led by Pastor Ziprich Marv.The Dedication was done by Pastor Dennis Meeker on Sunday 6th September 2009. The new classes need to be equ...ipped with Desks and other equipments,share Christ love by donating towards equipping the new classes.

Bethel Lutheran Church - Alberta( Canada )`s Visit to Springs of Life Lutheran Church - Kibera in the month of August 2009.They helped in leveling the ground and leading in the Bible Vacation for Children aged 4 - 14 years.

Bethel Lutheran Church - Alberta Canada helps in rebuilding of Springs of Life Lutheran Church - Kibera!

When peace returned in Kibera Slums after reconciliations,the number of Children mostly seeking admission in Luther Academy which was looted and burned along with other Church facilities increased.This out stretched the School resources and a new class space was needed.We were forced to use the burned Church lower hall to accommodate these extra classes.
Our brothers and sisters from Bethel Lutheran Church,Alberta Canada led by Pastor Ziprich Marv early this year passed by at the nick of time.They saw with there own eyes the aftermaths of the devastation in Kenya,they cried with us and went quietly sharing in our sorrow.
They have made a difference! having made donation to help put up the temporary classroom whose construction is on going.The Bethel group will be arriving this week to share Christ love in opening the classrooms at Luther Academy and participate in Bible Vacation for Children aged 4 - 14 years.

LCMS Mercy Team offers Free Medical Clinic at Springs of Life Lutheran Church - Kibera!

Despite the looting and burning of the Medical Clinic during the post election violence in Kenya,the LCMS Mercy Team extended their passionate services to the Community in Kibera Slums.
The team offered Free Medical Clinic at Springs of Life Lutheran Church - Kibera for two days from 9th to 10th July 2009.
Springs of Life fraternity wish to extend their sincere appreciation for the hospitality LCMS Mercy Team portrayed during the Free Medical Clinic.
